Title: The Score
Series: Off-Campus #3
Author: Elle Kennedy

REVIEW:
4.5 Stars
I saw the first season of the show before reading this book and it convinced me I'm a Dean girl. Well reading the book definitely proved that. I loved this book. Allie and Dean had me hooked from the first page. The banter between them so great and they have burning hot chemistry. Honestly I had a feeling these two would set the pages on fire. This book had me laughing quite often. I wasn't completely prepared for this book to rip my heart out. I won't lie I was crying at one point. I hated seeing Dean like that. One of my favorite parts of the book is when Dean is working with the little Hurricanes. What really had me was Dean and Dakota. I loved the Lord of the Rings reference in this one too. What I truly got from this is how good Dean and Allie are for one another. Dean floundering for a bit with good reason, but pulling himself up when called to. I'm just happy Dean lived up to the hype the show gave me in season one to be top book boyfriend material.

BLURB:
He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

*`Review: The Royal Situation by Lyra Parish

 Title: The Royal Situation
Series: Billionaire Situation #7
Author: Lyra Parish

REVIEW:
5 stars
Lyra saved the best for last. I'm one that doesn't always go for the royal romances, but when one of your favorite authors writes one you read it. This is now my new favorite in the series. I literally couldn't put this one down and would get mad when life got in the way of my reading. I loved Addison and Louis. The deep connection between them is what fairytales are made of. These two had me at their chess playing because that game has a deep meaningful connection to Louis with his grandmother. The storm these two face would knock anyone down, but these two are left standing tall and ready to conquer anything. The king (Louis' dad) was one of my favorite characters in this book. Now my favorite is Addison. She is impressive and she doesn't cower to anyone. Louis is going to need someone like her at his side to rule. I loved all the little hidden meanings on things. The one big take away for me after reading this is Addison and Louis are connected on a soul deep level. This love story is truly beautiful and why people would fight dragons in fairytales. I can't recommend this one enough.

BLURB:
While my parents search for my future wife, a pretty painter arrives at the palace and ruins everything in the best possible way…

I'm the crown prince and tabloid regular who couldn't find a bride by thirty-five so now my fate is being decided for me. As the palace fills with eligible princesses, Addison Cross shows up to compete for the esteemed royal artist position. I never thought I'd see her again.

There are too many reasons why she needs to leave. Her being my friend's little sister is close to the top. Plus, I'll be engaged any day now with a wedding and child not far behind. The timing is terrible and we're both off-limits. It's trouble in the making, but that doesn't stop us.

We break every rule to be together. We sneak out at midnight, steal moments in corridors, and choose each other in secret as everyone around me plans a marriage I don't want. Now I'm hiding a forbidden affair from those who control my future while falling for the one woman I can never have.

The Royal Situation is a forbidden, secret-romance, royal rom-com with a happily ever after! It can be read as a stand-alone, but for the full Billionaire Situation Series experience, please start with The Wife Situation. Included: spicy scenes and a charming disaster prince who'd burn down a kingdom just to keep her.

*`Review: Heated Rivalry by Rachel Reid`*

Title: Heated Rivalry
Series:  Game Changers #2
Author: Rachel Reid
Narrator: Tor Thom

REVIEW:
5 Stars
I couldn't wait to dive into Ilya and Shane's story. The narrator for this one did a good job. I loved the way he changed his voice for each character. Now I did watch the show before reading this so I already have what the characters look like in my head. When scenes played out I could fully see them. It blew my mind how on point the dialogue is. I appreciate more of the story I get from reading the book and the differences. Nothing compares to all the little details we get in the book. Be still my heart on the way this book ends and the epilogue. I was smiling and so giddy. I'm so glad the show came out because I would have missed out on such a good story. I'm so mad at myself I didn't know this series existed. Rachel Reid had me falling in love with these two. I was anticipating the famous cottage line and experiencing the cottage moments in all their glory. This book lived up to the hype and blew it out of the water for me. I was instantly swept away by these two and right into the story. It was hard to stop listening to it. All the yearning between them, swoon! Their banter had me chuckling. Their chemistry burning hot. This is a steamy read! A must read!

BLURB:
Nothing interferes with Shane Hollander’s game—definitely not the sexy rival he loves to hate.

Pro hockey star Shane Hollander isn’t just crazy talented, he’s got a spotless reputation. Hockey is his life. Now that he’s captain of the Montreal Voyageurs, he won’t let anything jeopardize that, especially the sexy Russian whose hard body keeps him awake at night.

Boston Bears captain Ilya Rozanov is everything Shane’s not. The self-proclaimed king of the ice, he’s as cocky as he is talented. No one can beat him—except Shane. They’ve made a career on their legendary rivalry, but when the skates come off, the heat between them is undeniable. When Ilya realizes he wants more than a few secret hookups, he knows he must walk away. The risk is too great.

As their attraction intensifies, they struggle to keep their relationship out of the public eye. If the truth comes out, it could ruin them both. But when their need for each other rivals their ambition on the ice, secrecy is no longer an option.

*`Review: The Hockey Situation by Lyra Parish`*

Title: The Hockey Situation
Series: Billionaire Situation #6
Author: Lyra Parish

REVIEW:
4 Stars
I've loved this series and Lyra Parish's writing, but I'm going to honest I struggled a bit with Patterson and Kendall at first. They give off very strong enemies to love vibes. I totally understand why Patterson is acting the way he us, but I personally struggled connecting with these two. Then the flip switched when we really get to see them stop denying what is there between them. It's not going to be easy for them when she is the coach's daughter and he is the star player on the team and her ex's twin. I mean my opinion was already changed, but seeing the depths of their feelings later in the book hit me right in the heart. These two have burning hot chemistry that had me fanning myself at times. I may have been a tad skeptical at first, but Kendall and Patterson redeemed it for me. I'm already intrigued for the next book. It sounds like it's going to a fun ride.

BLURB:
Hating Patterson Cross is easy.
Keeping my hands off him? Not so much.

He's my ex-fiancé's identical twin brother, my father's star hockey player, and the man I've despised for years. That's three very good reasons I shouldn't ask Pattycakes to be my hookup for the season.
But I recklessly do it anyway.

To my surprise, my biggest hater says yes.

We agree to keep it secret. Behind closed doors, I'm his. In public, nothing changes. It's so much harder than it sounds. Because the more time I spend with Patterson, the more I realize hate was never the problem. It was just easier than admitting the truth.

The Hockey Situation is an enemies-to-lovers, forbidden, sports romance with a happily ever after! It can be read as a stand-alone. Included: spicy scenes and a cocky hockey star who's playing to win…her heart

*`Review: Game Changer by Rachel Reid`*

 Title: Game Changer
Series: Game Changers #1
Author: Rachel Reid

REVIEW:
4 Stars
I'm finally diving into this series. Thank you for the tv show for introducing me to this series because for some reason I didn't know existed. Scott and Kip are so adorable! I fell for them right away. They bring the steam that burns up the pages! There is so much heart along with the heat. Kip's friend group is just so awesome. I wish I could hang out with them and become part of the group. I would be so down to watch some hockey at the Kingfisher. To my delight Ilya pops in a few times, always putting a smile on my face. Scott's three closest friend's on the team are amazing, but special shout out to Carter Vaughan because that man is a true ally. How he is with Kip just melted my heart. You can feel the inner struggle for Scott. There is so much on the line for him. What to do for his team and what to do for his heart. This book is so worth the read. I'm already looking forward to reading more especially knowing Ilya and Shane are next!

BLURB:
New York Admirals captain Scott Hunter takes his pre-game rituals very seriously. In this case, it’s not just a lucky smoothie he’s craving—it’s the man who made it.

Pro hockey star Scott Hunter knows a good thing when he sees it. So, when a smoothie made by juice bar barista Kip Grady precedes Scott breaking his on-ice slump, he’s desperate to recreate the magic...and to get to know the sexy, funny guy behind the counter.

Kip knew there was more to Scott’s frequent visits than blended fruit, but he never let himself imagine being invited back to Scott’s penthouse. Or kissed with reckless abandon, nevermind touched everywhere all at once. When it happens it’s red-hot, incredible and frequent, but also only on Scott’s terms and always behind his closed apartment doors.

Scott needs Kip in his life, but with playoff season approaching, the spotlight on him is suddenly brighter than ever. He can’t afford to do anything that might derail his career…like introducing the world to his boyfriend. Kip is ready to go all-in with Scott—but how much longer will he have to remain a secret?

*`Review: Rebel Bride by Kate Meader`*

 Title: Rebel Bride
Series: Chicago Players #2
Author: Kate Meader

REVIEW:
4 stars
This is the second book in the series and Theo's eldest. I couldn't wait for Hatch's story, but a little leery at the same time because Summer was his teammate's girl. I shouldn't have worried with a book by Kate Meader. Not gonna lie Hatch was rubbing me the wrong way in the beginning, but once we get into his head it all makes sense. I loved the banter between Hatch and Summer. Summer deserves all the happiness because life hasn't been too kind to her. Man I was not a fan of Carter, what a jerk! The Kershaw family will forever be a favorite of mine. This book as the first book did made me fall in love with them all over again. A really good story with a wonderful cast of characters. I'm already excited for the next book after the tease we got. It's going to be good!

BLURB:
She just jilted my teammate at the altar and I helped her escape. We don’t get along, but I’ll still keep her safe … and pray she never learns how I really feel about her.

Summer

I can’t marry him.

I have no good reason to jilt my hockey player fiancé, except that the closer we get to the big day, the more I feel myself shrinking to a hollow shell. Two minutes after I slip into the church bathroom to calm my pre-wedding jitters, I jump out the window to make my escape …

… and land on Hatch Kershaw, my fiancé’s teammate on the Chicago Rebels.

This guy has always hated me for reasons I can’t fathom. Half the time he looks right through me, like I’m no better than the ice shavings on his skate blades. The other half? That brooding green gaze strips me bare and sees right into my soul.

Neither option is good for me, so I really shouldn’t want his help … should I?

Hatch

The bride hit me like a ton of bricks.

The last thing I expected was for my teammate’s bride to ask for my help in fleeing her wedding. Make that the second last—even more unexpected is that I said “yes.” Before I know it, I’ve driven her to my family’s vacation home because I’m a nice guy and she needs to catch her breath.

Only now, I can’t breathe around her.

Summer Landry and I have never hit it off, so why the hell am I going along with this madness? Every stolen glance and accidental touch tell me she’s off-limits, while each torturous second with her in our lakeside hideaway has me questioning everything I thought I knew about who she is and what she’s hiding.

No one can know what I did—not my teammate, not my family, not the media—or all hell will break loose. Most of all, Summer can never know why I dislike her so much.

Because if she did, I might not recover.

*`Review: A Very Merry Enemy by Lyra Parish`*

 Title: A Very Merry Enemy
Series: Very Merry #3
Author: Lyra Parish
Release Date: November 6, 2025

REVIEW:
4.5 Stars
This is the third book in the series and the third Jolly brother is up. I'm not gonna lie Lucas was rubbing me wrong in the beginning enough that I was skeptical of this book, but I knew Lyra Parish wouldn't let me down. Hang in there with Lucas because the true guy underneath comes out to make you swoon. I felt for Holiday. What she went through was absolutely terrible so compounded with Lucas' attitude could have leveled a lesser person. Holiday has so much inner strength, more than she even knows. I loved watching her blossom with her baking. That made my heart soar. Mawmaw was up to some meddling and I loved it! I so love the Jolly family and it made my heart so happy to see the previous two brothers in the HEAS. There is one bad character that so needed a big swift kick from karma and when it happens glorious! This book definitely gives off Hallmark small town holiday vibes with heat. I was iffy in the beginning, but I fell in love with this book by the end. I was sad to see when I finished. This second chance holiday romance will get you into the holiday spirit for sure.

BLURB:
He's a cocky lumberjack who hates my guts, and this Christmas we're forced to bake together…

Lucas Jolly and I have a secret history that left invisible scars. Now I'm back in Merryville, and he's making it crystal freaking clear I'm about as welcome as fruitcake at a dessert table.

When his meddling Mawmaw signs us up as partners for the town's Christmas Cookie Contest, there's five thousand dollars and a family tradition on the line. Six weeks of forced proximity in a kitchen might actually kill me, but I could use the money.

Between heated arguments over cookie dough and even hotter stolen glances, I'm melting faster than snowflakes on fresh out of the oven gingerbread. The town thinks we're secretly dating, but the truth is Lucas hates me. Even so, I'm one mistletoe moment away from crossing lines we swore we'd never cross again.

Now I'm wishing for a Christmas miracle because falling for Lucas Jolly nearly destroyed me once. Doing it again might be the sweetest mistake I ever make.

A Very Merry Enemy is a small town, holiday, enemies to lovers romantic comedy. It's sweet and spicy with a dash of hate to love you. This is the final book in the Very Merry Series, but each can be read as a stand alone. For the full Lyra Parish experience, start with A Very Merry Mistake.
