This is the second book in the series. It's the owner who inherited the team from the father he never knew. In his mind he has a lot to prove. One of his younger players is having a rough time and in comes that player's sister Olivia into Max's orbit. I loved Olivia. Man her dad is a real piece of work that karma needs to visit ASAP. When Olivia's life takes a few hits it may just be a blessing disguise because her life takes a very unexpected path. I really do love the players on the Mayhem because they are a found family. I love a book with a found family. I'm so intrigued already for possible other storylines to come! This book definitely pulls on the heartstrings in moments. Max and Olivia have the burning hot chemistry. That instant attraction flares very fast. I appreciated the emotional journey not only for Olivia, but the one Max takes as well. Max has several things he is dealing with in this one, but where he ends up makes it worth all the ups and downs that come his way. This is a book that I was easily lost in and the time just flew. This bunch in the Mayhem have me so very invested.
