This book kicks off the new Mercer Family series and I'm hooked. We know Emelia because she is part of the Greene family from Sunrise Bay, Alaska. I'm so glad we get her story. I instantly fell for Elliot and his little girl Baylor. It's no wonder Baylor has everyone wrapped around her little finger because she is too precious for words. She is such a joy! Some of my favorite scenes are with Elliot and his brothers. I loved the sibling ribbing. Emelia who originally from a small town instantly see the small town charm of Echo Lake. Emelia and Elliot butt heads at first, but there is no denying the attraction between them. I so enjoyed the ride of Elliot and Emelia falling. It's not going to be easy because there are some bumps in the road along the way. Piper Rayne know how to do small town with all it's quirks and charm. One of the things that I loved from the Baileys with Doris and her crew is that they keep continuing to write is the most interesting elderly characters. It feels like a piece of my grandparents is with me while I read. I'm already wanting more from this series!
