This book had me at grumpy/sunshine. The blurb sold me on this one as well. Max is definitely a grumpy dude and first impressions for Sophia weren't too great and for me as well. Though I quickly saw there is so much more to Max the what he shows the world. He's really a great guy with a good heart. What really won me over is his reaction to Sophia's mom. That was the true test of that heart. Sophia, girl I can relate to the anxiety and the feeling of being everything for everyone. It drains you so when she answers the roommate ad to be roommates with Jack it made me happy. It sets her on a path she so deserves. The title fits this book perfectly because it felt like landlord wars between Sophia and Max. The back and forth between those two leads to some funny moments. This rom com has the perfect sense of humor. This enemies to lovers story will have you gobbling up the pages. Some characters in this one end up truly surprising me in a good way.
