Running out on her wedding was the best decision ever!
A cheating fiancé sends Camden Harris fleeing to her grandparents' home in Missouri. When her ex follows, determined to win her back, Camden makes a deal with neighbor Levi Walters: they'll pretend to be in love and she'll support his plan to buy her grandparents' land.
The boy from her childhood has grown up into an impressive man. His charm, good looks and sweet gestures make it difficult for Camden to remember this is fake. And Levi's kisses only confuse her more.
About the Author
Once upon a time, Kristina Knight spent her days running from car crash to fire to meetings with local police--no, she wasn't a troublemaker, she was a journalist. Her career took her all over the United States, writing about everything from a serial killer's capture to the National Finals Rodeo. Along the way, she found her very own Knight in Shining Cowboy Boots and an abiding love for romance novels. And just like the characters from her favorite books, she's living her own happily ever after.
Kristina writes sassy contemporary romance novels; her books have appeared on Kindle Best Seller Lists. She loves hearing from readers, so drop her a line!

Kristina Knight’s Favorite Holiday Traditions
Traditions are my favorite thing, whether it’s sitting in a field, getting eaten by chiggers while waiting for the 4th of July fireworks or strolling along a lake front, watching a parade of boats, decorated for Christmas. Traditions, to me, make every holiday more special because, while you’re in the present, the act of repeating a stroll with the Christmas boats or a snowy picnic brings back memories. It makes the experience richer, somehow.
In Christmas in a Small Town, there is a town festival, complete with a street fair and holiday lights and even a regatta so the townspeople can see the lights from the lake. Those are all memories I have from my small town upbringing, but there are even more. Here are a few of my favorite holiday traditions.
Santa’s House
Where we live in Ohio, the town creates a magical wonderland in our downtown, complete with a Santa House - where Santa’s helper talks to children about their holiday wishes, naturally - miles and miles of twinkling lights and about five city blocks’ worth of decorations. There are giant snowmen, a few nativity scenes, bright stars, wrapped trees, even hippopotami! Every year, we take bebe, get some roasted chestnuts and a hot cocoa and stand in line to talk to Santa, and I think, when she’s too old to want to go, I’m going to cry.
2. Holiday Light Tours
Since I was a kid, I’ve loved driving around to all the big light displays. When I was a kid in Missouri, this included state parks where local businesses would put up displays. As an adult in Missouri, there are still the big displays, but there are even more. A couple of local businesses and one local family have light displays that are set to music. You tune in on your radio and the lights flicker and flash to a medley of holiday favorites. We drive these displays several times each holiday season, and every time, I see something new.
3. Baking Treats
There is a serious sweet tooth that is passed along in our family. Pies, cakes, cookies. You name it, we’ve tried it, but we save our favorites for the holiday season - because some times you just need to look forward to something! So, starting at Thanksgiving, there is pumpkin and pecan pie. And in December, we have themed cookie weeks. There are iced Christmas cookies (with homemade icing, naturally!), Peanut Butter M&M cookies, Kiss Cookies, Christmas Brownies, and since we moved to Ohio, there are Buckeye Bites (they’re a kind of mini-Reese’s Cup, only much more peanut buttery!
Those are some of my favorite holiday traditions, share yours in the comments!

I LOVE the cover and guest post!! First off, the cover is very dynamic and cheerful. It makes me want to visit the town, and have fun with their holiday activities! :) :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the guest post, too! Christmas is all about traditions, so I really agree with you, Kristina, that these are very important! I think yours are just lovely! As for mine, my husband and I (we have no kids, alas) visit a local amusement park, "Santa's Enchanted Forest", every year. It opens right after Thanksgiving, and closes around January 6th. We also drive around looking at lights. And, of course, we get together with our families to enjoy the holiday feasts! One more tradition I have myself: I ONLY read Christmas romances during this time of year. Nothing else!
Thanks so much to you, Nicole, and Prism Book Tours for the WONDERFUL giveaway!! MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!! <3 :)
Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you had a wonderful Holiday!
DeleteI'm in agreement traditions are so important during the holidays. They are things I look forward to myself every year.
