REVIEW:
4.5 Stars
Okay after reading the blurb I was super excited about this book. I've wanted Anna's story so much. I loved getting more of my favorite Brooklyn crew as well and the Chicago Phoenixes, but more Lucy made me so happy! Oh my gosh the Uncle Fancy just about did me in. Anna's story was everything I wanted! I couldn't put this book down. Daniil and Anna had me gobbling up the pages. I love a good snowed in moment and we get a few of those. Anna's parents are some nasty characters that don't deserve Anna as a daughter. I loved Oma. She commands a room where ever she goes. Be prepared for the steam. Deniil and Anna ignite the pages with their chemistry. The last chapter and epilogue was the cherry on top of this book sundae. I was left with a huge smile on my face with the pure joy I felt.

BLURB:
Daniil Reznik doesn't back down. When a confrontation with Russian-born Brooklyn Bears star Aleks Kilovac turns physical, Lenzin Faulker steps in to defend his friend. From that moment on, the Chicago Phoenix winger and Brooklyn's defensemen have a rivalry their fans refuse to let go.

Anna Winterfield has spent years cheering on both of them. Kilovac and Faulker are her best friends, which makes staying out of their rivalry nearly impossible. But Reznik's fans take things too far after the Brooklyn game, and Anna gets caught in the middle.
Furious that his own fans crossed the line, Rez takes to social media, and his anger goes viral.

Then a snowstorm delays Anna's connecting flight through Chicago, leaving her stranded in Reznik's hometown. Of all the places to get stuck, she has to end up there. And of all the people she could run into, it has to be him.

One unexpected night was never in her playbook. Neither was the chemistry that followed.

Playing Her Game is the third book in the Chicago Phoenixes Hockey Series with eleven other amazing authors. All books have crossover characters but are standalone novels and can be read in any order. 🏒
