This is the second book in the series. This was a fast read for me and the story is fast paced. I love a good second chance romance. Poor Dakota her past in Ashland wasn't the greatest. There is so much hurt, but sometimes what we see isn't the whole story. Her return to her hometown is going to show her it's not all bad here. Oh my gosh Roe's little girl Cassi is the best. She has such a big bright personality and I love that Roe let's her by herself. Her nickname by Dakota's dad Sparkle is very fitting. This book definitely delivers on the feels because you can feel the emotions rolling off the characters. There is also a touch of suspense that had my heart in high alert. From where Dakota was at the beginning of this to where she ends up at the end of this book made my heart so happy. It's a healing journey for her.
