*`Release Blitz & Review: Chasing Smoke by Piper Rayne`*

Chasing Smoke by Piper Rayne is now live!

I've been running toward burning buildings for a decade. Then my best friend's widow smiled at me for the first time in two years, and I knew right then I was in trouble.
After Caleb died, I made a promise—I’d take care of his wife. Keep an eye on her. Check in on her. Make sure she kept on living.
Collins insists she’s fine. She’s not.
So when she finally agrees to let me help pull her out of her grief, I vow to stand beside her however long she needs me, no matter how much it costs me.
Collins isn’t supposed to smile at me like she does. She’s not supposed to let me in. And she definitely isn’t supposed to be the best part of my day.
She was Caleb’s. I know that.
The problem is, I can't stop wondering what it would be like if Collins wasn't just someone I was meant to protect.
But mine.

Review:
4 Stars
This is the second book in The Mercer Family series. We are back in Echo Lake. This one pulled on the heartstrings big time. My heart goes out to Collins because she is put through one heck of an emotional roller coaster. She is looking to heal from her loss. Oh my gosh is Ansel green flags everywhere. It's so cute when he joins her on outings. They are that cute adorable couple though that's not what it starts out as. It made my heart happy the Collins had someone to talk to about everything besides her BBF Nina. I just love the Mercer family so much. Uncle Roy is a gem. I get super excited when some of Piper Rayne's worlds collide. I always love to see it. This book for me is a heartfelt journey of rising from the ashes to something so beautiful. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of steam between Collins and Ansel. They have burning hot chemistry that sets the pages on fire, good thing Ansel is a fireman. The tease we get from the next book has me really excited for it.
