This is the second book in the series and the Sherwood Heir's story. You can feel the pressure that Leona feels having to be the next in line to be in charge of the family's magic. I loved that this is rivals to lovers. Sneaky witch who looks for every loophole in any situation Erik has plans for Leona. Erik's family has a reputation and it's not a good one. They lie, cheat, and steal their way, but you can tell there is something different about Erik. This book is so much fun! Erik and Leona on a road trip is full of so many fun and unexpected moments along with the danger lurking right behind them. High stakes in more ways than one for these two. There were moments that had me on the edge of my seat especially the last few chapters. I loved the epilogue and it has me eagerly awaiting Effie's story because boy that seems like it's going to be a wild ride! I love Avery Flynn's romantic comedy with a paranormal flair. For me this series so far is just so much fun to read. This book got me out of my head and zoned into the story right away. A great cast of characters.
