This one grabbed my attention because it's a single dad romance. I'm so glad I read this one. It's a mix some of my favorites in books; small town, second chance, and slow burn. My heart goes out to Ava because she is back in Cedar Falls for such a sad reason. She hasn't been back in years. Her true love lives here and they haven't spoken since she left. The tension flares once again between them. One of my favorite parts of the book is how Ava and her brothers realize how much they really did miss this small town. It has it small town antics and politics. This book was balanced with humor, heart, and heat. Owen's son Avery is precious. I loved the way Ava describes him as mini version of his father. Some of my favorite scenes are between Ava and Avery. After finishing this book I can't wait to return to Cedar Falls because I hope Ava's brothers get books too! Also not gonna lie I loved how much loons were mentioned in this one.
