The first book in the new Hart's Landing series. I love the way the book starts and ends. A little bit of a twist I so enjoyed. I'm one that looks for signs like the lady bug in this book. Mila, my heart goes out to her. One thing I loathe with all my heart is narcissistic people. I have a few of them in my life and let me tell you the toll it takes on one's mental health until you find your backbone to stand up to them. Mine are family too so I know the struggle that Mila was faced with. This book is a what could have been if that one night didn't go down as it did. One thing that really broke my heart is how the that tight knit group of girls grew apart. That just tore my heart out. This book deals with a lot of healing not just out main characters, but the start for others. This is set in a small town so all the small town hijinks and gossip are in this one. I really loved Mila and Everett. They are so adorable! A great sense of humor in this book as well. I found myself easily gobbling up the pages. Took me a day and a half to read this one. I'm already eager to get back to this town to see what is in store for Mila's friends.
