Lola Penelope Caruso is my favorite person to torment. When she’s had enough of me, her freckled cheeks go rosy, her tiny hands ball into fists, and she pulls at her signature tight braid and lets down her long red hair.
I thought I'd seen her at her worst when we told her she’d have to move from New York City to a dump in Jersey with our law firm. But then a six-year-old showed up at my office with a note around his neck and my smile on his face, and she had to ask: Who's your daddy?
Now annoying her isn’t quite as fun.
Apparently my ability to keep plants and fish alive does not mean I’m qualified to raise a child. He's smart and funny, and I'm pretty sure he'll raise me with more success than I can him. Fortunately, we have one thing in common: our infatuation with Lola. Is it possible that she could ever like me as much as she likes him?
Review:
4.5 Stars
You have no idea how excited I was when I found out we are getting dadcoms. I became fans of these three authors from their momcom books. Now I gobble up everything they write. This first book gave me all the humor I loved from momcom to this dadcom series. Cal is such a lovable goof. I give him credit for stepping up even when he was terrified. Seeing Cal in dad mode so dreamy. Then Lola, I couldn't have picked anyone better for Cal. This is an office romance at it's best. Right from the start the position the characters find themselves in I knew this was going to be my jam. The three guys have such different personalities. Murphy is a six year old going on old man. I liked the bond he instantly creates with Lola. To my delight some cameos made my day. I never get tired of seeing them pop up. I gobbled this book right up. Now I'm not gonna lie Cal's brother has a lot of winning me over when it's his turn. This book lived up to all the hype I gave it in my head. I can't wait for more!
