The blurb and tropes drew me to this book. I did enjoy this book, but it did take me a bit to get into. In my mind I thought I knew how it was going to play out after getting the scoop of the players in the book, but didn't go as I thought to my delight. I appreciated the independence of Matty. She is a strong heroine along with her sisters. She loves the ranch life and her family legacy. Poor Caison is sort stuck between a rock and a hard place. Matty throws him off his game a bit. This book gave me everything I love about books set in the country and ranch life. The animals and hard grind of running the ranch. There is plenty of heart in this book as well.
