This is the fourth book in the series. I already have so many questions about the Syndicate, but man what happens in this one leaves me with even more. It's so good with leaving me on the edge of my seat with what could happen next. Danger is lurking for this small town. This is also a very emotional journey for the two main characters. They have a past that didn't end well and now they are forced together. Dr. Simone Moreau is tasked with keeping the man who ripped her heart into shreds alive. These Timberbridge brothers have their broody side down pat let me tell you. Could this finally be the chance for these to find closure, but the beginning of something lasting as well. The twists and turns this one took left me the reader an emotional mess as well. This book is so good the emotions and feels, but also the angst. I can't wait for the last book because I have a feeling it's going to be so good. Everything is coming to ahead and who will make it out of the fire? Buckle up and enjoy the emotional journey Simone and Keir take you on. Trust me it may rip your heart out at first, but it's such a healing one as well. I have to mention something that I really appreciate with Claudia Burgoa's writing is the mental health rep. As someone who struggles with that daily to see it represented and to show the reality of that daily struggle makes me feel seen so thank you Claudia!
