“I’m here to see my fiancé. I believe you know Parker, Dad…”

That sentence seems innocent enough in the right setting.

But the woman’s father? Yeah, he happens to be my boss.

The first time I met Cashlynn O’Neil, she thought she was going to die before the plane we were on ever left the ground.

So I did what any gentleman would do—I comforted her, kept her distracted, and then later that night, she ended up back in my hotel room to thank me.

But then a year later she waltzed in the Carrington Cove Animal Hospital and told her father we were engaged.

And that would have been harmless, except the last time I was engaged it left me scarred beyond repair, vowing never to entertain the idea of love again.

I can’t fall for my boss’s daughter.

I can’t keep lying to myself about how I feel either.

But is it possible that someday you learn that it’s not the wrong person that will make you question what you want in life, but it’s the right one?

And is Cashlynn the right woman for me?

Review:
4 Stars
This is the fourth book in the series and a great addition to it. We are back in Carrington Cove and I'm so glad to be back. It has all the things I love about a small town romance. Everyone knows everyone's business that can lead to annoyance for some ad hilarity for others. Right at the moment that Cashlynn comes back to Carrington Cover Parker is experiencing the annoyance part of it. Parker and Cashlynn may be entering a fake engagement situation, but with their chemistry and the more time they spend together that fake part starts to feel all too real. This book has the small town drama to go along with the romance. Did I mention Cashlynn is the daughter of Parker's boss? Let the fun begin! One sketchy character needed a dose of karma in a big way. One thing that made me so happy with this book was Cashlynn really got to live out her dream. It really meant everything to her. I was drawn to this book already because of the series and author, but also because Parker is a veterinarian. I'm a sucker for a guy who loves animals. This was a nice fun read to satisfy my romantic loving heart.
