I couldn't wait for this series to begin after getting to know Bridger and his daughter Birdie in the last book in the Wilds of Montana series. This book lived up to the hype I gave it and then some. I fell for Bridger and Birdie even more than you add Dani into the mix, swoon. My heart went out to Dani for her backstory which we got a tase of in Holden's book and be prepared for the prologue to rip your heart out. I so love that Bridger and Dani can finally make move on the attraction they have always felt. Dani is the perfect person to be a kindergarten teacher. She has the heart for all her students. This book definitely delivers on all the heart and feels, but also the steam and a touch of suspense. Bridger and Dani have off the charts chemistry. Bridger is a dirty talker. There is someone out there making Bridger's job all the harder and for the town. Those moments kept me on the edge of my seat. These characters are going to be tested, but they have the beautiful connection to weather the storm. I could not put this book down. I am here for Blackwells! If this book is any indication they are going to be stealing my heart just as the Wilds had. Buckle up for a must read!
