This is the first book in a new series, but to my delight there are some ties to the Varsity Dads series. I may have squeed a bit when Abby made a cameo and Maverick Rhett's brother went to college with Paige. This book definitely takes the reader on a roller coaster of emotions. My heart went out to Paige. Life keeps throwing punches and something just has to go her way for once. Fate works in mysterious ways because her childhood crush just asked her to marry him to help save his ranch. Those Walker boys are going to steal your heart even though Rhett makes me want to smack some sense into every now and then. Rhett's boys are so adorable! The only good thing to come out of his previous marriage. There are a few bad apples in this book that keep things interesting. I loved Paige's bbf and her mom. Two of my favorite characters for sure. This book delivers on the heart and feels, but also the steam, humor, and suspense. A well rounded book that will have you hooked right from the beginning. I'm so looking forward to more from this series and knowing the next couple I really can't wait!!
