Single mom Callie Caldwell doesn’t have time for romance—especially with her brother’s best friend, James Carmichael, the handsome firefighter who lives next door. But no matter how hard she tries to fight it, James keeps slipping through the defenses around her battered heart. He’s dependable and steadfast, and his easy charm and protective nature make it impossible to deny the spark between them. With James, Callie finally allows herself to imagine a future she never thought possible.
But when wealthy hotelier Sterling Whitmore arrives in Snowfall Valley to open a luxury ski resort, Callie’s world is shaken. The sophisticated New Yorker seems hauntingly familiar, and his presence tugs at memories that she would rather forget. When Callie takes a job working for him, her professional and personal worlds collide, and an unexpected revelation forces her to confront old wounds.
With her wild-child past threatening to undo everything she’s built with the handsome, hardworking firefighter, can Callie find the courage to let go of her fears and embrace their love and the future they could have together?

Review:
4.5 Stars
I've been so looking forward to James and Callie's book. I loved getting a big dose of Callie's little girl Maura. She is such a cutie!! The way James is with her, swoon! I knew James was going to be delicious with a golden heart. This book just proved it. Callie really didn't stand a chance of resisting him. Though a wrench is thrown into the mix. I did love how everything worked out for everyone especially for Maura. Callie and James are adorably cute together. If anyone deserves some happiness and HEA with a great guy it's single mom Callie. I loved that this book is a holiday romance as well just made it the more enjoyable for me. I also liked the little peeks at Emily and Luke from the previous book living their HEA. A great book that I gobbled right up!
