I was so excited to be back in Pine Mountain. I really love this small town. This is a delicious firefighter romance. Savannah is the first female rookie to enter Station 8. She always feels like she has so much to prove. There is one character that's trying to make that harder then it needs to be. I could see where it was going to go with them. Karma needed to visit that character big time. Cole's future for the Squad is up to getting Savannah ready for duty. It's going to be tricky when attraction between them ignites. They have to keep a secret which puts even more stress to this situation. I do like the camaraderie between the firehouse. They know how to push buttons mostly in a humorous way. I also appreciated the in depth look at this crew out on calls. It shows you the intensity of it, but also the emotions that do come. A really enjoyable book with great characters. Plenty of heart, heat, humor, and a touch of keep you on the edge of your seat moments. I so enjoyed this visit to Pine Mountain.
