This was one powerful story. Not gonna lie it took me a bit to get into, but once I did I couldn't put it down. Rae and Beau's journey has many ups and downs. Rae's past is best described as brutal. What she went through at such a young age, man my heart goes out to her. When she thinks she can finally be happy her past comes rearing it's ugly head forcing her to blow up everything. We get Beau and Rae's beginning as well as them now. I wanted to shake Beau, but I completely understood his reaction to Rae's return because she has a hell of a surprise. Rae has so much inner strength that is inspiring. I enjoyed some of the twists this book had. I may have squeed a bit when Pixy made a cameo. Love that goat! This is a great book of love, loss, betrayal, and second chances.
