This is the second book in the series and I loved it as much as the first. I literally couldn't put this book down. I loved Marci and Jesse. This was such a good enemies to lovers romance. Jesse has been pushing Marci's buttons for most of her life. Though Jesse has been keeping his true feelings for her under wraps. Well a chain reaction of moments has lead to Jesse and Marci agreeing to a fake marriage. Jesse will do anything to keep her safe, swoon. Being forced to be a round Jesse more Marci gets to start to see the side of Jesse he has kept hidden. It's so beautiful watching these two fall in love. I mean how can you not like a man who is also trying so hard to win the love a cat. Big bonus points on that for me. It made my heart happy to see Jesse find true happiness same for Marci. These two characters are going to hold a piece of my heart for along time. They have been tested by life to the brink so it was nice that fate was finally on their side. There is a great sense of humor in this as well. The banter between Marci and Jesse was one of my favorite parts of the book. I really love the Taylor family and so looking forward to the next book!
