This is not the typical read for me more dark, but I'm a fan of S.L. Scott so I gave it a chance. Oh man does this book take the reader on one heck of a ride. I had to read through my fingers a few times. This is part of a duet so it does end on a cliff hanger and boy is it a doozy! This book ripped my heart out and I hope the second book of the duet puts it back together. Many times I was on the edge of my seat. S.L. Scott sure has a way with words that pulls me right into the book. I'm glad I went out of reading comfort zone. Looking forward to the ride the second book has instore for me.
