This is the second book in the series. The "Kershaw" siblings have me more intrigued. They are a complicated family, but in this one we see that they truly do care about one another. When River agrees to Sutton's fake engagement scheme an even more tangled web is weaved. I loved the banter between River and Sutton. Plus they have the chemistry that burns up the pages. All the pretending starts to feel all too real. The threat for River's family still looms and we get to know a tad bit more. There some hidden depths to River. Learning his backstory he endeared himself to me even more. I give this town and the Kershaw family for making difficult situations work because it could test anyone's limits. It makes me happy to see two of the siblings find true happiness and I can't wait for more from this series.
