This is the fourth book in the series. I can't believe young Merida is getting her story with Carter. This group is a found family. They have been through a lot together and they have one more chapter to go through. Merida is back home after four long emotional years. It's time for a lot of healing. Merida's feelings for Carter are still strong as ever. Carter and Merida have a lot of history. They have been each other's person since Merida entered the Kings Security world at 5 years old. What really pulls on my heartstrings is the little things that are just special between Merida and Carter. I loved seeing my faves from the series in their HEAs. They families are expanding to my delight. Keith and Clem's twins are so adorable. This book had my heart happy sighing all over the place. A truly beautiful story you do not want to miss. The epilogue so beautiful and the cherry on top of this book sundae. I hope Merida's friend gets a book because he so deserves to find love.
