Release Date: September 26, 2023
REVIEW:
4.5 Stars
This is the second book in the series and oh so good! This book had me at single dad romance. I loved Melissa! Jamie and his daughter Sammy have moved to town for a fresh start. All I can say I loathe bullies! The move is the best thing for this duo especially the fast friendship with Melissa. The banter between Jamie and Melissa is top notch. Though I was not a fan of the hot cold from Jamie regarding Melissa I understood the underlying pain of the reason why. I loved watching Sammy just blossom. Coming out of her shell and embracing life once again. Sammy and Jamie had a rough start with life, but you can't deny the tight bond and love this father daughter duo have. Jamie is such an awesome dad. Melissa is looking for her forever guy to have a family with, but it is not going too hot. Dating apps are thrown into the mix and just wait until you see how that turns out. This book delivers on the heart and humor. I laughed a lot while reading this one. I just loved the sense of humor. I was in need of a good laugh. I'm intrigued by the next book in the series and look forward to reading it.

I should have used my college degree to become a lawyer, politician, or heck, even a Time Lord—hey, it worked for Dr. Who. But no, I had to own a bridal boutique. Turns out that’s a terrible idea for someone with my lousy dating history.
Every day, I’m surrounded by the trappings of the perfect wedding, and I’m starting to resent all the smug almost-marrieds. I shouldn’t want to throat punch the brides, right?
Then Jamie Riordan moves to Elk Lake with his twelve-year-old daughter. He’s everything I've ever wanted in a guy—tall, gorgeous, successful, and clearly devoted to his kid.
Too bad his grumpy highness wants nothing to do with me.
I may not be his dream girl, but does he have to be so insulting about letting me know?
