This is the first book in a new series and boy I'm intrigued by the mysterious new family that moved to town. There are so many secrets surrounding them. It's going to be interesting peeling back all the those layers. Drake is up first and he is the oldest in this dysfunctional family. The whole lot have their lives in limbo and you can read the book to find out why. I really liked Wren and her son Milo. Milo is such a cutie! The scenes with Drake and Milo melted my heart. Some of Drake's backstory is going to hit you right in the heart. It makes it all the more special what he finds in Heartwood Lake. Wren has a hard time trusting and opening up based on her past, but man Drake knows how to slowly knock down her walls. It's not going to be easy, but so worth it. I can't wait for more of Drake's siblings. A lot of unanswered questions yet.
