This one had me with the blurb and with the first line too. I mean a single dad romance is hard for me to pass up. I'm glad I read this one. This is the first book I have read from this author. Now I will admit it took me a bit to get into, but boy once I did I gobbled it right up. Man Hunter shouldered a lot for his family and I give him major kudos for stepping up for his niece. Though his life choices might not be everyone's cup of tea he did it for his family. Sydney had faced a betrayal from her deceased husband which has caused major trust issues and gun-shy for attachments.  She never counted on the one night to change everything. Misunderstandings abound between Hunter and Sydney. You know what they say when you assume. It's a long road, but one where the destination is so worth it. I loved little Caro. She's been through so much at a young age, but she has the spunk and grit that's impressive. The end of this one had me happy sighing for this little family. Everything experienced by them all they so deserved the HEA!
