This book is so good. I was drawn to this one because it's a single dad and nanny, but then throw in grumpy/sunshine you have my kryptonite for romance. Added bonus it's a small town setting! There are many light hearted funny moments, but it has it's very serious break your heart moments. There is a darkness hovering in the shadows waiting to strike. Paisley is a breath of fresh air for Evelyn and Caleb. She is a the balm these two needed to heal. Caleb has done things, unspeakable things which leads him to a solitary life until tragedy brings a little girl into his life. It broke my heart to see what he thinks he deserves in life. It made me happy to ruffle his feathers a bit and bring a spark back into him. Loved the citizens in this town. Paisley's best friend is a riot. I want to be friends with them! Then I'm intrigued by Caleb's cousins. Little Evelyn is going to steal your heart. She's so precious and I just the sayings she comes up with. She really melts my heart. This book also packs the steam. The chemistry between Caleb and Paisley is explosive. Caleb couldn't be anything but a master in the bedroom. The suspenseful parts kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for the other shoe to drop and the evil to show themselves. Well written book that pulls all the emotions out of the reader. The epilogue was the reward the characters so deserved after the journey they take.
