The first time I met Chance Jenson, I was into the whole broody-bad-boy thing.
But then he opened his mouth and I quickly realized he’s not just a little moody—he’s the grumpiest jerk to ever lace up a pair of hockey skates. I wasn’t having any part of it. I agreed to cook for his dogs, but promised myself that the only thing he would ever eat are his words.
I spent more than a year doing my best to hate him, but when Chance’s lips land on mine, I feel…conflicted.
I don’t want to want the jackass.
I certainly don’t want to have feelings for him.
Unfortunately for me, my heart seems to have other plans.

I can't tell you how excited I was to be back in the BTU world. I really couldn't wait to dive into this one. I was so here for all the shenanigans these characters get into. I'm here for the Covenettes. I'm ready for all the humor to come my way. I love Gemma. She has a sweet soul. They way Chance's dogs love her reminds my of my cousin with her boyfriend's dogs. She is their favorite hooman too. Now Chance I had to warm up to because not gonna lie that man had me wanting to smack some sense into him a lot through out this book. I know he was coming from a bad situation that left some pretty deep scars, but I didn't like the was with Gemma sometimes. Just rubbed me the wrong way at times. Though I will admit Chance's grovel game top notch! I couldn't put this book down and was up way too early to dive back into it. Sleep is overrated when it comes to finishing good books, right? I so love catching up with some of my favorite characters. Plus who doesn't love the text conversations from the Covenettes.
