REVIEW:
5 Stars
This book is so good! It's book 1 in the Osborn Brothers series, but I was so delighted to see some cameos from my favorites in The McKenzies of Ridge Trail. This is Jodi story and it was awesome. I love Jodi. She's a take no prisoner attitude that catches the attention of Hunter. Hunter has moved to Ridge Trail to get away and stay by himself, but Jodi rolling into town puts a wrench in that. Trouble follows Jodi and she catches the eye of some unwanted attention. That gives this book the perfect touch of suspense. Jodi and Hunter have seen the shady underbelly if humanity. They're kindred spirts finding the healing of nature. I just loved these two together. I so loved Hunter's dog Turbo. He is quite the character. I finished this book in a day and half. I just couldn't put it down. The characters just drew me right in. This book delivers on the suspense, but also the heart and heat. There is plenty feels in this one. I loved what Hunter and Jodi found in the book. Sometimes family is the friends you meet along the way that become family. Jodi's found family is so much better than her real family. I was so happy to see Parish and the rest of the crew. I just love how they treat Jodi like one of their own. This is a must read!!
BLURB:
Alone is good. Alone with her is…better.
Hunter Osborn left his family, his friends and his job as a park ranger after uncovering a disturbing crime scene. Haunted by nightmares and dark thoughts, Hunter relocated to a small cabin outside of Ridge Trail, Colorado, where he lives off the land (and mostly off the grid). To pay the bills, he works on classic cars, keeping his interactions with others to a minimum.
Still, Hunter can spot trouble from a mile away, and when he encounters Jodi Bentley, he knows she’s trouble of the most tempting kind—even more tempting when she moves into the run-down cabin next door. But when Jodi’s own past comes knocking, Hunter gets drawn out of his own darkness and into hers.
