This is the first book in a new series by Lani Lynn Vale. I'm already hooked on this series. Now Wake may be considered a villain to most, but to others like me we see him in the grey area not just the black and white. He did what he needed to do to protect his little girl and other children from the scum of the earth. I loved Wake and Dutch so much. Wake and Dutch have off the charts chemistry that burns up the pages. I had to fan myself several times. There is a connection to Dory that made everything click for me and made me love the start of this series even more. Lani Lynn Vale created her magic once again making fall for some questionable characters to society, but to me they do what is right no matter the cost. Those are the guys you want in your corner. I really can't wait for more from this series! I recommend diving into this and buckle up for one heck of a ride.
