This is the first book in the series and it starts off with a bang. There is a lot these characters go through and some when they just have a foot on adulthood's doorstep. These characters will pull on your heartstrings. There are some very serious subject matters this book touches on. It's not all sunshine and roses because this shows every side life throws at us. Little Felix will steal your heart right away. He's so precious and he made me smile so much. Camden is prime book boyfriend material. His love for Layla and her son is so beautiful. I wanted to smack Layla's ex. He's the scum of the earth. This book has many serious moments, but it also has plenty of heart and humor. It also brings the heat because Layla and Camden burn up the pages with their chemistry. It made my heart happy to see where Layla, Felix, and Camden end up because they take one heck of a journey to find their happiness. I can't wait for more from Camden's band mates because a lot of healing is needed.
