This is the third book in the series and boy they just keep getting better. I love Riley, Nick, and their band of misfits. I laugh so much with all the shenanigans that go on. We were left with quite the bombshell at the end of the last book for Nick. We see how Nick is living with that information. This book had many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Like the previous books nothing goes as planned for this group that definitely leads to some dangerous moments, but also some very funny comedic moments as well. I read this book in a day because I just couldn't put it down. Plus I needed to know what happened next for this gang. I honestly can't wait for more from this series. This group of characters has definitely stolen a piece of my heart. I feel like part of the group!

To make matters worse, it becomes clear that Riley’s new houseguests are definitely either in trouble or are trouble after bad guys deliver a warning with a severed finger.

 

Can Nick and Riley solve the case the old-fashioned way before they all end up in pieces? Or will a surprise birthday party, a dog doody bandit, an accidental arson, and a blast from the past be too much for them to handle?
