This one had me at single dad and Stevie is a elementary school teacher. The blurb had me sold on this book. I also read a little of the backstory of author writing this one before diving in. It made me appreciate the story and Stevie a whole lot more. It's an empowering story from Stevie's perspective. Making a fresh start and truly finding herself again. It's an emotional ride for her, but reading the end and epilogue I had a huge smile on my face. It's a path Stevie so deserved to travel. It has it's many bumps in the road, but this time she has more support. It made me happy to see her make new friends and see there is more to life then she could have ever imagined. She goes out of her comfort zone a lot which myself have done more lately. It leads to unexpected joys. I instantly fell for Fletcher and his son Nicki. It makes me wish I could find my own Fletcher. You can't help but have smile on your face with the scenes with Fletcher and his son. This was a great read that had me sucked right in.
