This is the second book in the series. We got to know Reyes a bit in the first book and I can honestly say he surprised me in the best of ways in this one. This book took me on one heck of a roller coaster ride. There is plenty of heart and feels with a touch of humor. Those McKenzies sure have stolen my heart that's for sure. This book also has plenty of action and suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. What Jodi and Kennedy went through broke my heart, but to see how far they've come mends that heart. Problem is the dangerous threat is still looming in the dark shadows. The bad guys in this one are the scum of the earth. The title of the book fits Kennedy so well because she is so much stronger than she gives herself credit for. It made my heart happy to see Reyes be so protective and caring of Kennedy. That's where he surprised me in the best way possible. There is so much more to Reyes. Kennedy brings out that side of him. Be prepared for this book to suck you right in and not want to come up for air. It's hard to put down because I wanted to know what happens next. I really can't wait for the next book in the series because I can already feel it's going to be a good one!
