This book caught my attention because it's a single mom romance and an age gap romance. I like an age gap romance when it's a younger man and older woman. Plus the blurb has Eli and Ruby meeting at a baseball game. Yeah, you've got a book that has to be read by me. I loved Eli. He may be in his late 20s, but he has a good head on his shoulders. The scenes with him and Ruby's sons just melted my heart. They soak up his attention and shine. There are some interesting dynamics going on in this family that make me eager for the rest of this series. Ruby, man my heart goes out to her. She's been doing things on her own and doesn't know how to ask for help. It made me happy to see Eli in her corner and he naturally fits in with this little family. It's not going to be easy because Ruby's ex really did a on number on her. This is a delightful read where the characters are going to pull you right into the story. This was a fast read for me and I finished it in a day.
