This was a good story. My heart broke for Manning. He's just existing through life. If it wasn't for his son and hockey he would have nothing. All I can say is Murielle is a piece or that karma needs to visit asap! Evelyn was a great character. She has a big heart and shows such kindness that Manning can't help be attracted to. Manning and Evelyn have great chemistry, but they are stuck in a hard situation. That's why the epilogues are so sweet and rewarding for the journey they have to take. I liked seeing previous characters from the series in their HEA. That always makes me giddy. The the tease this book gave for the next book has me chomping at the bit for it!
When her nose isn't buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she's in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It's a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn't listen to her...
