The blurb of this one intrigued me. I'm glad I read this one. It's not the typical romance with wedding bells ringing. Elise, man does she carry so much guilt. She feels so responsible for many in her life and she's not taking care of herself. Her needs and wants are pushed to the back burner until Kael comes to town. Things are about to get very interesting. See Elise is in early 40s and Kael is just entering his 30s. That's going to get the town's gossips tongues wagging. Also did I mention he's opened a rival store to Elise's, yeah things are getting interesting. This book shows real life and everyday struggles people deal with. Married women, but also life after becoming a widow. Though Elise is dealing with more than just that because she has a secret not many know. That eats at her a lot. What I really loved about this book is how Elise finds her true self and her happiness that she so deserves. She learns it's okay to put herself first and to love herself. This book also had humor that I really enjoyed. The banter between Kael and Elise was one of my favorite things about the book. I would recommend reading this one!
