This is the second book in the series and I can tell you the MacAteer have me swooning. I didn't think anyone could top Connor, but Owen proved me wrong. The silent giant has me putting him on my top book boyfriend list. I mean how protective of those he cares about and the gentle way he has about himself. He loves his nieces and nephews. How he steps up for Melanie, swoon. This book is great and it has a lot of heart and emotion. There is also some serious moments with issues that are seen in the real world and not just in fiction. I'm not gonna lie some of those moments were hard to read emotionally. It made it all the more special for Melanie and Owen to get their HEA. I really wanted to pop Melanie's family. They are a piece of work. I'm glad karma did visit a few people that needed a swift kick in the butt. This book also made a little giddy because there is a Christmas scene. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Owen's fraternal twin is up next.

I've spent most of my life as a performing musician and band instrument repair technician, but that doesn't mean I'm pigeon-holed into one mold. I've been a university professor, belly dancer, craftsperson, soap maker, singer, rock band artist, jewelry maker, lifeguard, swim coach, and whatever else I feel like exploring.
