Genre: Slow Burn/Enemies to Lovers Romance
Release Date: July 16, 2020

TK
I live my life by rules – too many fucking rules. But, it's the only way. I messed up once. I slept with the wrong girl.
Never again.
The rules are my life, my guide. Until she walks in, and one by one, they all crumble.
She doesn’t slowly creep her way in like a worm. No, she soars in, like an eagle, refusing to be ignored and digging her claws into my heart. Leaving me vulnerable, wanting more.
Wanting her.
Gracie
Home. Happiness. The words used to mean something.
Until that night – over a decade ago. When they were stolen from me and my parents forced us to move.
Now, I'm back in Alaska, flying bush planes for Homer Air. And, I'll fight every step I take until they are real again. The only problem is the reclusive fisherman whom I can’t stop thinking about, despite us fighting every time I see him.

3.5 Stars
I was sold on this book by the blurb. It did take me a bit to get into, but once I did I gobbled up the pages. It's real and raw. Gracie is getting fresh start back in Alaska. She runs into a familiar face unbeknownst to her at the time. TK and Gracie share a past that ripped their lives apart. TK, man that poor guy. He's getting his life back after making a mistake one night that he will regret for the rest of his life. I loved watching TK and Gracie fall. It's no easy path because they bump heads more than not, but you can tell they have loan instant attraction to one another. Things are going to come to a boling point when their past is exposed. The end and the epilogue are what these two deserve. I think the reason I liked this one was because it gives you the gritty real life. No sugar coating in this one.

Amazon Review - “Beautiful place, heartbreaking story. Loved it!” Amazon Review - “Thought provoking story” Everything Bookish Blog - “It was so easy to get lost in this story. It’s emotionally impactful and beautifully detailed.”

Cassandra cusses like a sailor, is addicted to tattoos, hardcore music, and chocolate. Her kids believe that she is an actual vampire. Oh, and occasionally, she has been known to write a book or two when not busy in her garden.

Her novels straddle the line between taboo romance and romantic suspense. With themes as complex and varied as the author herself, they are sure to leave you on the edge of your seat.
