Valentina loves owning her own bakery, creating new concoctions and making her customers smile. But being your own boss means spending every waking hour working and little time for anything else. Finding a man to stand by her side was never in her plans, but when a handsome man needing cookies for his second-grade class walks into her shop, everything changes.
Noah was content teaching the second grade and devoting all of his time to his students. But when he stepped into Val’s Sweet Treats, his whole world went upside down. What was it about Val that drew him in? Was it her compassion for her customers? Her ability to create such mouth-watering treats, or was it the fact that she wanted nothing to do with him? Either way, he would stop at nothing to get her attention. But when their pasts start to creep back into their lives, will they be able to weather the storm, or will their relationship crumble into pieces.

4 Stars
I really enjoyed this book. It's perfect for Valentine's Day. I was drawn to this book because Val is a baker and owns her own bakery. Then throw in Noah whose scenes with his class will melt your heart. To be honest those were some of my favorite parts and ones Iooked forward to the most. The epilogue was so perfect and was my favorite scene of the book. Noah and Val were adorable. I was rooting for them right from the beginning. Val deserved a man like Noah in her life. They have a ton of chemistry that burns bright. Their journey is not smooth, there are a few bumps along the way. This is a quick read that I gobbled right up. I would recommend this book.

S.A. Clayton lives in a small town outside of Toronto, Canada with her husband of five years and her scary large collection of books that seem to take over every room.
She has worked on both sides of the publishing industry, both in a bookstore and for actual publishing companies. Although she loved both for different reasons, she found that writing was her true passion and has spent the last few years breaking into the industry as best she can.
She is a lover of all things romance and began her writing journey in her late twenties. Since then, she has immersed herself in the romance genre and couldn't be happier.
When she's not writing or reading, she enjoys binging a great Netflix show (Stranger Things anyone?), baking (because who doesn't love cookies!) and spending time with her family.
