I'm a sucker for a single dad romance and this was a good one. Plus it's a friends to lovers story and that's my favorite troupe. This is one that hit me right in the heart. It's a beautiful story and the last chapter was just perfect. I loved all the characters, but Devlin was my favorite character. She's sacrificed a lot to help the man she has always wanted. It's very selfless of her. Plus with the flashbacks you can see she has a backbone for those she loves. I appreciated the flashbacks because it was sweet moments with Garrett and his daughter when she was younger. There are a lot of sweet moments in the book, but it also brings a little heat. I enjoyed the small town setting. The one negative is the cover because Garrett's daughter is getting ready to graduate high school not a little girl, but I understand the cover is to show it's a single dad romance. Over all a very enjoyable story that sucked me right in.
