If you're looking for a book to just suck you in and you don't resurface until your done with the book then look no further. This is the first book in the series that takes you on an adventure with PI Babylonia. I just love the cast of characters in this one. Demi-gods, vampires, lycans, witches just to name a few. Babylonia is a half breed with no idea what her father is. She wants to make a name for herself in the PI world, but the old ways of thinking are making it a tough mission to complete. I wish I had one of her abilities of talking to animals. That one so rocks!! This book intrigues me and I can't wait for more!!

What does a woman have to do to prove she belongs in the Undercity? Sure, I’m unclassed and only half paranormal, but that doesn’t mean I can’t solve cases. Since the established PI’s won’t acknowledge my right to a territory, I’m taking jobs from whoever will hire me, doing what I do best…proving myself to be a bad-ass problem solver. Which is how I find myself breaking into Zaid’s house, looking for a talisman my witch client says the very powerful vampire stole.
