Marie felt a weight on her chest. When she looked down, her hands were shaking like leaves. Sweat started to drip down her face and her heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to burst out of her chest. “M-m-mush!” she tried again, giving the reins another tap.

Still Blaze didn’t move.

Sighing softly, Marie stepped down and went over to Blaze. She unhooked the harness and put his regular sky-blue collar back on. “It’s okay. We can try again tomorrow.”
