Now I'm not a reader that chooses mafia romance regularly, but when Lani Lynn Vale writes it you best know I'm giving it a try. Plus we got to know Semyonov family with Maven's book in the Carter Brothers series so they had me intrigued. Yes this book may have an antihero, but truthfully for me it felt like a Lani book that is my jam already. I gobbled this one right up. Brecken and Shasha had me hooked. Shasha feels a pull to Brecken even when he doesn't want to be. He is a man that lives in the darkness, but he can't deny the light that Brecken gives off makes him feel different when he is with her. Brecken and Shasha bring the steam!! Things get very hot!! I'm extremely happy with the ending and the epilogue. I'm looking forward to more in this series!
