I had to read this; one because of the author and two I was intrigued by Charlie's profession. I like how Charlie stands up to those who try to stereotype her. She's a sparkplug with a lot of spunk. Though under those layers beats the heart of someone broken. The day she meets Garret sets a course so unexpected. Garret is a little broken himself. Both characters' stories will grab at the heartstrings. I was rooting for them right from the beginning. I gobbled this book right up. I liked the back and forth between Garret and Charlie. They have a ton of chemistry. This book had a great flow that weaved a great story. This book had me laughing, smiling, and even get a tad teary eyed. Some parts are emotionally intense for the characters, but this book left me with a smile on my face.
