*~Review: Rank by Maryann Jordan~*

Title: Rank
Series: Lighthouse Security Investigations #2
Author: Maryann Jordan
Release Date: January 15, 2019

REVIEW:

4.5 Stars
This is the second book in the series. I easily got caught up in the story. I just loved the characters. Rank is dreamy, but the way he was about Helena's cats won me over. The heart of story kept me ensnared and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. Well developed characters that are easily likable. You can't underestimate Helena because she keeps on surprising Rank and keeps him on his toes. She has a lot guts and strength. This is a book I was easily lost in and the hours just flew by.

BLURB:

Lighthouse Security Investigations
The Lighthouse SI Keepers were men and women from the SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, Deltas, and AF Special Ops. All having been trained in CIA Special Ops, the Keepers were the best of the best and ready to take on any mission.

Former SEAL and CIA Op, John “Rank” Rankin, did not mind playing hard, but when it came to missions, he prided himself on always delivering. When the Feds ask for assistance in investigating the possible link between a US Senator and a member of the Russian mafia, Rank volunteers for the job. Perfect planning goes awry when a woman stumbles into the middle of his meeting with a witness.

Helena Jernigan, a charity coordinator, had no idea what she was getting into when she tried to slip out of the back of the restaurant to escape the unwanted attention of a dinner companion. Now, thrust into the middle of an investigation, her offers to help are met with resistance.

As Rank needs Helena’s information, he realizes she may be in danger, but keeping her safe is no longer just part of the mission.

Hearts become involved and the one-time player gives it all for the woman he loves.
