4 Stars

This is Shelby and Vander's story. Shelby is the epitome of a southern lady, but she has many layers that surprise Vander. Vander is the PI hired to find Shelby's dad. He doesn't mix business with pleasure, but Shelby is far too tempting. When reading this book I can perfectly picture the setting the book. Which is the norm when reading an Ava Miles book. I just enjoyed the banter between Vander and Shelby. The title of the book fits this book. As someone who does throw a penny in fountains that I come across to make a wish it makes me realize to never stop making those wishes. Though they seem silly to some to wish, but those wishes lead to dreams that lead to goals that we achieve. No one should give that up. Ava Miles did an excellent job writing this one.

Shelby McGuinness' luck ran out the day her daddy up and left her family high-and-dry in Dare River. But she pulled herself up by her boot straps to become a successful accountant working for a powerful, if eccentric Southern business woman whose estate houses a magical fountain. As Shelby risks everything to uncover the secret of her father's abandonment with the assistance of the magnetic private investigator, Vander Montgomery, the fountain helps her remember that wishes are always infinite and a family's road back to reconciliation and happiness is always possible.
