5 Stars
Another winner by MJ Fields. I loved this one. I got sucked right into the story. Whenever I hear Black by Dierks Bentley I will now forever think of this book.I was't sure about Gage at first, but I quickly was won over. This book pulled all the emotions out of me. I laughed and cried. MJ Fields just knows how to write an emotionally gripping story, but still have the humor and lightness to it as well. One of my favorite parts in the book was watching Gage with Brand. Those are the moments when it hits home how much Gage loves that little boy and the sacrifices Gage makes for him. It just pulled at my heart. It wouldn't be a MJ Fields book without the heat. Things get very hot and steamy between Gage and Phoenix. Phoenix is looking for a fresh start and she doesn't need Gage's type. She's in for a surprise with Gage once she really gets to know him. I thought Gage and Phoenix had great chemistry. I enjoyed this one so much I hated to see the book end, but I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
Her style is raw, gritty and authentic.
Love an alpha and a strong heroine? She does too.
